Jonathan Liebesman and Brian Tyler

"Maybe it's only fitting that the aspect of a film that creates the most impact and inspiration is the one I least understand. A great score not only has the power to elevate a story higher than a filmmaker can imagine, but also the mystique to carry and audience over his biggest plot holes! Darkness Falls is often a world where reality is stretched and the task of creating a credible world becomes paramount. Brian Tyler's challenge was to be the spokesman of subtext, and transform the incoherence and inconsistency into lucidity. Trust me, in a horror flick about a Tooth Fairy, that is no small task!

And, as I heard Brian's first chimes of the prologue I knew that the man had transcended the occasion. His pure skill communicated more than I could ever get across or dare ask for. And so after two years of living with Darkness Falls, it was as if I was watching the film be reborn, seeing moments I had wished for and never seen before.

I suppose without Brian Tyler, they were never there.

From a director I think that is the greatest compliment.

- Jonathan Liebesman, director 'Darkness Falls'
